Take Time to Give Thanks

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Melody Beattie

I am thankful for so many things, not the least of which is the opportunity I have to serve the membership of Federally Employed Women as it enters its second half century of working for equality in the federal workplace:

  • Supporting legislation that eliminates discrimination against women in federal employment and legislation that affects the status of women as a class, whether or not federally employed
  • Monitoring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and the Federal Personnel System
  • Paving the way to encourage diversity and inclusion in the federal workplace, making it more responsive to the needs of minority workers and enriching the lives of all
  • Supporting training initiatives to better prepare women for achievement and leadership in the federal workplace – and celebrating the 50th National Training Program this July!

I am grateful for all of you, the members of Federally Employed Women, as we soar to new heights in the coming year!

Wishing you all a blessed and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving!
