Gloria Sherman – IT/Webmaster

Gloria Sherman

Gloria Sherman joined FEW in 1999.  She became a Lifetime Member shortly after and a Diamond Lifetime member in 2010.  She is a member of the Nebraska Heartland Chapter, Mid-Continent Region.  She has served multiple terms as the National Secretary, Mid Continent Regional Manager and Regional Webmaster and Secretary. Other offices held include Chapter President, Regional Membership Chair and Regional Representative.

She is active in several military organizations.  Gloria received FEW’s 2010 Military Recognition Award.  She has a Master of Business Administration from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

Gloria retired June 2010 with 30 years’ civil service and 35 years of military service.  Over her career as active duty Army and Army National Guard, she served as Finance Officer, Aide-de Camp, Accounting Supervisor, EEO Counselor, Chief, Data Processing, Comptroller and was the Kansas National Guard FWP Manager for 20 years.

She has three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She enjoys visiting them, as well as friends and relatives around the country.

Marcia McDaniels – News & Views Editor

Marcia McDaniels

Marcia McDaniels is a Diamond Lifetime Member since 2015. She has held positions in Great Lakes Chapter and higher positions as Great Lakes Regional Secretary, Newsletter, Bylaws, Public Relations, Ways and Means offices. Her involvement as staff in several NTPs include:  Registrations/Programs Chair, Advertising/Marketing Chair, and Information Co-Chair.

She is a Distinguished Toastmaster. She has 39 years of Federal Service at the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command, in Warren, Michigan.

Marcia earned an MBA with concentration in Logistics from Florida Institute of Technology and earned a Level Three Certification in Life Cycle Logistics. In addition, she is an Army Acquisition Corps Member.

She has plans for the future to RV with Carl, her husband of 34 years. She also hopes to do genealogy, stitching and possibly blogging.

Rachel Combs – Special Assistant for Housing & Credentials

Rachel Combs

Rachel Combs is a Lifetime member of FEW and a member of the Savannah River Chapter.  She has been a member of FEW continuously since 1984.  She has a BS in Electronics and taught Army, Navy and Air Force military prior to her retirement from the Department of Defense.

Rachel is now a full time realtor serving the Central Savannah River Area better known as the CSRA.  She recently joined the  staff of the Neighborhood Assistance Corp of America, better known as NACA, a nonprofit organization assisting in a unique home buying process.

She has served on many NTP’s and co-chaired the most successful training program in 2009.  She has received two National President awards – one in 2009 and one in 2012.  She received the Barbara Boardman Tenant award in 2015.  She serves as the National Special Assistant for Housing and National Credentials Chair.

Tracy Marshall – Special Assistant for Military Women

Tracy Marshall

Master Sergeant Tracy Yvette Marshall is a native of Tampa, Florida.  She entered Active Duty Army in April 1989. In June 1992, she joined the Army Reserve.  MSG Marshall is assigned to the Deployment Support Command Equal Opportunity Advisor.  She attended Basic and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

She previously served as Senior Equal Opportunity Advisor for the 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) Camp Arifjan Kuwait and the Joint Sustainment Command Afghanistan, Kandahar Afghanistan.

During her military career, she earned a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Army Good Conduct Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award); Global War on Terrorism Medal; Non Commissioned Officer Professional Service Ribbon (3); Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Service Campaign Medal;  NATO Medal (2nd Award); Kosovo Campaign Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and the Secretary of the Army Diversity and Leadership Award (Equal Opportunity Advisor of the Year).

MSG Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida, MacDill Air Force Base Campus.

Glenda Starks – Special Assistant for Outreach (Women’s Health and Youth)

Glenda Starks

Glenda Starks has established her career of 18 years with the Internal Revenue Service and is a Front Line Manager.  She is a graduate of the Front Line Readiness Program (FLRP). Her education background is in accounting. She has her own business and has been an Entrepreneur for 12 years.

She has previously served as the Compliance Officer for Motor City Chapter. She promotes equality for all civil rights.  She currently serves as the Motor City Chapter Treasurer.  She is excited to serve as the FEW National Board of Director Special Assistant for Women’s Health and Youth. She specializes in serving and caring for others.

Donyale Robinson – Special Assistant for Outreach (Mentoring and Retirees)

Donyale Robinson
Donyale L. Robinson has dedicated ten years to public service; all with the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service. She is a Supervisory Contact Representative for the Small Business/Self-Employed (SB/SE) Division.  The SB/SE provides examinations and taxpayer education services for about seven million small businesses and upwards of 33 million self-employed and supplemental income taxpayers.

Donyale brings passion for convening diverse groups of people from the public and private sectors to expand the capacity of charitable nonprofits to deliver better services and value.

She currently resides in Michigan with her family.

Melissa Johnson – Sponsorship/Partnerships

Melissa Johnson

Melissa A. Johnson is a native Washingtonian, a mother, grandmother, and trusted friend.  Melissa has 20 years of federal service. For the past ten years she has been employed at NOAA’s Ocean Services (NOS) as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Specialist.   She works directly with the EEO and D&I Programs Manager to provide Senior Leadership with technical support and guidance of all agency EEO and D&I policies, executive and administrative orders, and initiatives.  In this role, she has oversight for the agency’s mandatory EEO training for over 1200 headquarter and field employees.  She works with other offices to promote the advancement of women, minorities, and persons in protected groups.

In her personal life, she is dedicated to giving back to her community through various non-profit and grassroots organizations.  She is an accomplished mediator, facilitator, motivational speaker and author.  Melissa operates the gifts of administration and organization, and she is a certified EEO and D&I Specialist, Contracting Officers’ Representative, Ombudsman, Mediator, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Facilitator and pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership.

Michelle Crockett – National Parliamentarian

Michelle Crockett

Michelle Crockett has 22 years of federal service and currently works as National Program Director for Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Ocean Service. She was a founding member of the Seas and Skies Chapter at NOAA. She has held the Chapter positions of President and Special Events Chair, Regional Training Program Chair, FEW 40th Anniversary Gala Co-Chair, and FEW 50th Anniversary Gala Chair.

She attended Georgia Southwestern University and received her certification in Equal Employment Opportunities Studies from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University.
