May Matching Funds Campaign for FEEA

FEEA kicked off Public Service Recognition Week and our May fundraiser with the second annual Public Service 5K Race in Washington DC.  Over 400 participated in the event to show support for government employees and NCSSMA was a proud sponsor.  It was a great start with over $45,000 raised for FEEA, the only non-profit charity dedicated solely to helping federal employees.

Please support FEEA’s efforts and go to to make a donation today so FEEA can be ready when federal employees need help. Donations during FEEA’s annual May Fundraiser will be doubled thanks to a matching grant from BlueCross/BlueShield.  In addition, Long Term Care Partners will match the first $5,000 in donations to Friends of FEEA.  Here is more info about FEEA.

·      NCSSMA – A Founder of FEEA – In 1986, the situation was much like today – federal budgets were being cut, the federal workforce was being reduced and many elected officials were particularly critical of federal employees.  The National Council of Social Security Management Associations joined with a few federal management associations and unions to lay the groundwork for FEEA.

·      What FEEA Does – FEEA is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to assist civilian federal employees whenever and wherever the need arises.  FEEA helps federal employees through its Annual Scholarship Competition and administers a number of special scholarships – to nearly 300 students who lost a parent in the Oklahoma City tragedy and at the Pentagon on 9/11.  Through its Emergency Assistance Program, FEEA provides loans to help federal employees confronted with emergencies like natural disasters, government pay errors, furloughs, death, or illness in the family.  For more information about FEEA, please visit their website at
