Jeraldine (Jeri) Peterson – Awards Chair

Jeri Peterson

Jeraldine (Jeri) Peterson retired from the federal government with over 38 years of dedicated service. Over her career tenure she served in several positions, including Personnel Management and Employee Relations Specialist; Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor; Program Manager; Master Training Instructor; Training Manager; Air Force Strategist; Registrar at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine; and Chief of Training Manager for Senior Executive Service members. Her last position prior to retirement was Chief, Force Support Readiness Training.

As a Diamond Lifetime Member of FEW, Jeri has held numerous positions including: Chapter President for the Alamo City and Pentagon City Chapters; Southwest Region’s Awards Chair; National Persons with Disabilities Chair and the National Vice President for Diversity. She served as the Diversity Strategic Planning Committee Chair and served as a Board of Trustee for the FEW Foundation. Jeri works with the city of Colorado Springs in facilitating the city-wide Diversity Food for Thought training programs.

Jeri obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Personnel Management at Jackson State University, and obtained two Master of Arts degrees. One in Computer Resources and Information Systems and the second in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University.


Regine Williams – Bylaws ChairRegina Williams

Regine Williams has 30 years of public service with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).  She has held various positions during her federal career and currently holds a Human Resource Specialist position with a focus on training and development within the DLA Training department located in Columbus, Ohio.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Master’s Degree in Finance from Columbia Southern University.

Regine is a lifetime member, joining the Equalitarian Chapter, Great Lakes Region in 1999.  She has held several positions at the chapter and region levels, served on the national communications team, News and Views team and held positions on NTP committees to include communications, publications, volunteer and advertisement/marketing. Regine is the recipient of the Allie Latimer Award in 2013 and the Barbara Boardman Tenant Award in 2012.


Bernice Waller – Communications Chair

Bernice Waller

Bernice is a Lifetime Member of FEW and the NW DC Chapter. She served in numerous chapter, regional, and national positions to include Chapter President, Regional Representative, Regional Manager, and Vice President for Compliance, Executive Vice President, Credentials Chair, Bylaws Chair and Special Assistant for Sponsorships and Partnerships. After more than 32 years of service, Bernice retired from the FBI where she served as a Human Resources Specialist. She was a collateral duty Federal Women’s Program Manager/Coordinator and EEO Counselor for FBI’s Human Resources Division. Bernice has been active in FEW since 2000 where she helped revitalize the NW DC Chapter and had attended every FEW NTP since 1999.


Vanessa Elliott – Contracts Management Chair

Vanessa Elliott

Vanessa Elliott is the Program Manager of Marine Vessels for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the DC Metro area.  She has 37+ years of experience in the repair, refueling, building, and remodeling of nuclear naval ships. She developed and matured DHS policies and procedures to address gaps and streamline processes. She adopted the Marine Enterprise Strategic Plan to the governance and stewardship of marine vessel assets.

Vanessa is very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, where she is the Supreme Matron of three states. She serves as an Advisor on the Great Nine Board of Directors.  She volunteers for the Bethany House (Domestic Violence) and So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.) homeless shelter. She volunteers and teaches “Literacy” to workers in her community. Vanessa is an active participant in her church.

She is President of the Northern Virginia Chapter and was National Treasurer serving on FEW’s National Board of Directors where she also served as FEW’s Finance Chair.

She has a degree in Business Administration-Finance Emphasis and received her Master’s in Public Administration and Business Administration.  Vanessa’s family (mother and 2 sisters) lives in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her hobbies include going to church, mentoring, volunteering, roller skating and spending quality time with family.


Bernette Menefee – Finance Chair

Bernette Menefee

Bernette Menefee has 32 years of government service.  She is currently employed at Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Columbus, Ohio, and has both a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Accounting and a Master’s in Administration.

Bernette has been a member of FEW for five years and has held several Chapter and Regional offices such as Vice President, Treasurer, and Regional Finance Chair.


Naomi Bell – National Training Program 2019 Chair

Naomi Bell

Naomi Bell retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2017 with over 39 years of dedicated service. She worked as a Senior Management & Program Analyst in the Information Technology program/project management field. Naomi also has a background in training, contract support, and human resources.

Naomi is a FEW Lifetime member and has actively served at the National, DC Metro Region, and New Carrollton Chapter levels. She was the recipient of FEW’s prestigious 2015 President’s Award for her contributions in the role as Special Assistant to the President, Sponsors and Partners.

Naomi obtained a Bachelor Business Administration degree from Bernard Baruch College in New York City and a Master’s Certificate for Project Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She currently resides in Maryland with her family.


Judy Rush – Publication and Policy Review

Judy Rush

Judy Rush is a former Federal Women’s Program Manager/Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, who retired in 2015 from Bonneville Power Administration, a Department of Energy power marketing agency, in Portland, Oregon.  In 1993, she joined FEW and attended her first National Training Program (NTP).

Judy became a Lifetime Member in 2003 and a Diamond Member in 2011.  She served as Pacific Northwest Regional Manager from 2006-2010.  She chaired/co-chaired Pacific Northwest’s (PNW) 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 Regional Training Programs (RTP) and was  2012-2014’s RTP Training Chair.  She was Correspondence Lead for NTP Committees during 2009, 2010 and 2011.  For 2016-2018, Judy was PNW Regional Secretary, Ways & Means Chair and President of the Willamette Valley Chapter #356.
