Wanda Killingsworth – President
Wanda V. Killingsworth has dedicated 25 years to public service all with the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service where she works as a Senior Program Analyst. In this position, she is responsible for providing Risk Management infrastructure to various IT projects and ensures projects receive training on the Risk Management process and tools.
Wanda is a lifetime member of FEW and a member of the DC Charter Chapter, DC Metro Region and also a lifetime member of Blacks in Government. Wanda is the recipient of the following FEW awards; Presidents’ Award for Leadership 2013 and 2009, Allie Latimer Award 2011, and Barbara Boardman Tenant Award 2009.
Ms. Killingsworth graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management. She holds two Masters Degrees, one in Computer Science and the other in Project Management. Ms. Killingsworth currently resides in Maryland.
Karen Rainey – Executive Vice President
Karen M. Rainey is a seasoned System Administrator with over a decade of IT experience working for the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service. She is a champion of diversity and inclusion and an advocate for women’s rights. Her history is working with non-profits to meet the needs of people who seek a fair chance and opportunities to help themselves. Karen has BS and MS in Computer and Information Systems, and a graduate from the MITS Front Line Readiness Program (FLRP).
In recent years, Karen has served as the National Webmaster from 2012 – 2015, Motor City Chapter President and the prestigious 2015 National Training Program Chair within FEW. Ubiquitously, utilizing her talents as an advocate, collaborator and humanitarian to promote women’s causes and achieve greater opportunities for FEW members in the federal sector. In 2012 she was recognized with the prestigious FEW Presidential Award.
Georgia Thomas – Vice President for Policy and Planning & Employee Thrift Advisory Council
As the Vice President for Policy and Planning, Georgia is concerned about the advancement of women in government, hence her lifetime membership and active involvement in Federally Employed Women. She held various offices at the national and local level of FEW.
Georgia is Area Manager of Stakeholder Liaison with Southwest Stakeholder Liaison Field Operations (SBSE) in Houston, Texas, a Division of the Internal Revenue Service. She also serves on the SBSE Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee. Since 2002, Georgia has been a member of the School of Business Advisory Board for Prairie View A &M University and holds a BBA degree in Marketing from the University of Texas and is a certified Mediator.
Dr. Madeline Lewis – Vice President for Congressional Relations
Dr. Lewis has 27 years of civilian service (retired FBI). Her background included Counterintelligence, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Domestic Terrorism and EEO. She is a military veteran with 22 years of service where she reached the rank of Sergeant Major (retired U. S. Army). Because of her expertise she was the recipient of the FBI Director’s Award for “Outstanding Foreign Counterintelligence Investigation” and the Attorney General’s Award for “Volunteer Service.” She has been a member of FEW since March 2004, and has held various positions at the Chapter and Regional levels.
Dr. Lewis resides in Maryland and holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership, and a Masters in Security Management.
Connie Coleman-Lacadie – Vice President for Compliance and Special Assistant for Federal Women’s Programs
Connie Coleman-Lacadie started her federal career with the Air Force as a local national in Berlin, Germany, in 1972. She was the first local national to hold a supervisory position. She returned to the states in 1981 to McChord Air Base, Washington, and transferred to the Federal Aviation Administration in 1989, retiring in 2012. Married to a retired Air Force Lt Colonel; has two sons, one daughter, and seven grandchildren.

Jeraldine (Jeri) Peterson – Vice President for Diversity & People with Disabilities
Jeraldine (Jeri) Peterson, retired from the federal government with over 38 years of dedicated service. Over her 38 year career she served as a Personnel Specialist, Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor, Program Manager, Master Training Instructor, Training Manager, Air Force Strategist, Registrar, at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, and Chief, Training Manager for Senior Executive Service members, and her last position prior to retirement was Chief, Force Support Readiness Training.
As a Diamond Lifetime Member of Federal Employed Women (FEW), Jeri has held such positions as Chapter President, Regional Awards Chair, National Chair for Persons with Disabilities, and currently, National Vice President for Diversity. She obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Management at Jackson State University, and later obtained two Master of Arts degrees in Computer Resources and Information Systems and Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University.
Suzi Inman – Vice President for Membership and Chapter Organization
Suzi is employed at Crane Division Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana, as a Program Analyst. She has been a government employee for 24 years working in different positions, starting out as Clerk Typist then moved to Budget Technician, Financial Analyst and now currently working as a Program Analyst working with contracts.
Suzi has held several Chapter and Regional offices, such as Chapter President, Great Lakes Regional Manager, Great Lakes Regional Treasurer and served on several committees of the Hoosier Hills Chapter. In addition, she was elected NTP Chair twice, elected Nominations Officer and selected as Credentials Chair under two Past Presidents,Past President Jeni Bungert and Past President Sue Webster. In 1998 she was awarded the prestigious Barbara Boardman Tennant award.
Naomi Bell – Vice President for Training
Naomi has more than 30 years of federal service and works as a Senior Management Program Analyst with the Internal Revenue Service. She is an active member of the New Carrollton Chapter and currently serves as VP of Programs. At the National level, Naomi also held the Fiscal Security Team Lead position for the Strategic Planning Committee.
Naomi attended the Bernard Baruch College of CUNY, New York, and obtained a degree in Business Administration. She also has a Master’s Certificate for Project Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She currently resides in Maryland.
Gloria Sherman – Secretary
Gloria has a Master of Business Administration from Kansas State University and is a Certified Defense Financial Manager. She is active in several military organizations and was one of six to receive FEW’s 2010 Military Recognition Award. She has served multiple terms as the Mid Continent Regional Manager and regional webmaster. Other offices held include chapter President, Regional Secretary, Regional Membership Chair and Regional Representative. She is a charter member of the Kansas Sunflower Chapter in Topeka, Kansas.
Gloria retired June 2010 with 30 years’ civil service and 35 years of military service. She was the Kansas National Guard FWP Manager for 20 years.
Vanessa Elliott – Treasurer
Vanessa has over 34 years of professional experience in the naval ship maintenance community. Of those 34 years, Vanessa has 6 years with Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters as a Execution Support/Availability Performance Manager. She has gained valuable knowledge to build and share concepts in helping NAVSEA to improve the existing Navy and the “Navy after Next.”
Vanessa attended Old Dominion University and received a Masters in Public Administration, December 1999 and she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Finance Emphasis from Norfolk State University, May 1976. Because of her dedication to her work, her assertiveness, her integrity and her ability to empower others, she has obtain many achievements one of them being a position on the national board of FEW.
Helen Robinson – Nominations Officer and Special Assistant for Outreach (Mentoring and Retirees)
Helen J. Robinson served as Regional Manager for the D.C. Metro Region from 2012 – 2016, President of the Bethesda Chapter at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 2008-2012 and as a Regional Representative for the DC Metro Region from 2010-2012. She also served as the DC Metro Region Co-Chair for Persons with Disabilities and is currently on the Council of Advisors for the FEW Foundation for Education and Training. During her tenure with FEW, Helen created and executed Prom Dress Giveaways for disadvantaged teens in the Washington, DC, area and serviced over 400 participants. Helen is the Founder of a project called “Diva On A Dollar” which is a money management workshop program to educate low income families about cost effective ways to manage their financial resources. Helen currently works at the FDA as a Program Support Specialist, Helen and her family reside in Landover, Maryland, and her daughter, Desiree, is also a member of FEW.
Michelle Crockett – Immediate Past President
Michelle has 21 years of federal service and currently works as National Program Director for Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Ocean Service. She was a founding member of the Seas and Skies Chapter at NOAA and has held the Chapter positions of President and Special Events Chair, Regional Training Program Chair and FEW 40th Anniversary Gala Co-Chair.
She attended Georgia Southwestern University and received her certification in Equal Employment Opportunities Studies from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University.
