Update on National Policy and Procedure Manual Award Section Changes
Submitted by Shelly McCoy, National Awards Chair, Federally Employed WomenShelly McCoy, Awards Chair

In November 2009 an edited version of the changes made to the National Policy and Procedure Manual (NPPM) Awards Section was sent to all Chapter Presidents and Regional Managers for their information.  I hope by now that everyone has had an opportunity to look at the changes and share the changes with members in their Regions and Chapters.  The updated NPPM can be found on Federally Employed Women’s (FEW) Website under the members-only section at http://www.few.org/docs/guidance/nppm.pdf.  After you log in, click on the menu link for Forms and Documents, and select NPPM—National Policy and Procedures Manual.

Additionally, with feedback provided from the recent Award Survey conducted, the Award Committee has identified areas of improvement and are in the process of testing changes now to the on-line applications.  We anticipate the submittal process will be even easier and faster for everyone, including the attachment of documents.

I look forward to another great award season that begins in February and ends April 7, 2010.
