Rhonda Trent, President
Rhonda has
worked for 26 years with the Government. She started her Federal
Career at the Department
of Housing and Urban Development in Oklahoma
City , OK. Rhonda then moved to Tinker AFB, OK working
for the Air Force, at the Engineering Systems Command. This is
where she was promoted to an upward mobility position in the
Contracting field. She acquired a Contracting
Officers unlimited warrant while at Tinker AFB. She
then was selected for the Career Broadening Program with the
Air Force and moved to Brooks City Base, San Antonio TX . At
the end of this program she was selected to be on the team for
the Joint Strike Fighter Program, Crystal City, VA. She
recently has been selected for contracting position with the Department
of Homeland Security
Rhonda has
been associated with Federally Employed Women since 1989. She
is currently serving as National President for the term July
2006 to July 2008. Rhonda received
the Barbara Boardman Tennant Award for outstanding service to
FEW in 2001 and the National President's award 2002. She holds
a Master's Degree from the University
of Oklahoma.

Sue Webster, Executive Vice
President
Sue Webster is a native Hoosier hailing from Ellettsville, Indiana.
Sue is assigned as to the staff of the Mission Support Services Department
serving on the Lean/Continuous Improvement Core Team at the Crane Division,
Naval Surface Warfare Center, in Crane, Indiana. Sue is a Lifetime Member
of FEW and has long been active in FEW, holding Chapter, Regional, and
National offices. She is currently serving as the Executive Vice President
for FEW. Sue received the Barbara Boardman Tennant award for outstanding
service to FEW in 1992. She holds a Master’s Degree from Indiana
University/Purdue University at Indianapolis.

Wilma Huey, Vice President
Policy & Planning
Wilma retired as Assistant Chief, Human Resources Management
Service, at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was Charter President of the Central Arkansas Chapter
of FEW and served in many other roles at the Regional
and National levels. Most recently she chaired the 2005
National Training Program in Reno, Nevada.

Cecelia L. Davis, Vice President
for Congressional Relations
Cecelia’s vision is to develop with the membership’s
participation a comprehensive legislative agenda that
outlines and monitors the issues that are important to
FEW. She has been a member of FEW since 1995, and has
held positions at the chapter and regional levels. She
received the LATIMER Chapter’s Chapter Merit Award
and DC Metro’s Alice Blackburn Regional Award.
She is a Procurement Analyst at the General Services
Administration, where she is responsible for writing/revising
Government-wide and agency contract policy and serves
as an analyst on the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council.
She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the
College of Charleston, Charleston, SC and a Master of
Public Administration from American University, Washington,
DC.

Bernice Waller, Vice President
for Compliance
Bernice retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation
(FBI), as a Human Resources Specialist and EEO counselor.
She has been active in FEW, holding Chapter, Regional
offices. She served as the Regional Manager of the DC
Metro Region from June of 2005 until July, 2006.

Cathy A. Fletcher, Vice
President for Diversity
Cathy is a Senior Auditor, Special Emphasis Program Manager,
and Certified Government Financial Manager, assigned to
the Defense Contract Audit Agency’s Boston Branch
Office, Boston, MA, in the Northeastern Region. Cathy
has been active in FEW for over 14 years, holding Chapter,
Region and National Offices. She served as the New England
Regional Manager for the past ten years. In 2006 she received
a ten year Regional Manager Award from the Board of Directors
and an Outstanding Service Award from the New England
Region. She holds a Master’s Degree from Emmanuel
College, and is a member of Northeastern University Sigma
Epsilon Rho Honor Society.

Becky Fasulo, Vice President
Membership & Chapter Organization
Becky is an Administrative Specialist for NASA at the
Kennedy Space Center, FL. Becky is a life-time member
of FEW and has been very active, holding Chapter, Regional
and National offices. She served as the Vice President
for Training for the past four years. She was a co-chair
for the 2002 National Training Program, held in Orlando,
FL.

Arlena Fitch-Gordon, Vice
President for Training
Arlena is the Diversity Manager for the Defense Industrial
Security Clearance Office, Columbus, OH. She is a life
time member and has held Chapter, Regional, and National
offices. She served as the Vice President for diversity
for the past four years. Arlena received the FEW Barbara
Boardman Tennant Award in 1998 and the FEW National Champion
of Diversity Award in 2006. She has broadened her horizons
to become a motivational speaker and has been in great
demand as a speaker. She has attended The Ohio State University,
Columbus State Community College and she is a graduate
of the 1993 Leadership Columbus. You will find her listed
in the 2006 Edition of Who’s Who in Black Columbus
as one of Columbus’ Most Influential.

Joyce Hageman, Secretary
Joyce has worked for the federal service for 26 years.
Shortly after beginning her career in the federal service,
Joyce was selected for an Upward Mobility Program for
Women to become an Electronic Technician. She has gotten
to work on several of the missile tracking systems that
we have today. Joyce has been a member of FEW since 1990
and has held offices at both the chapter and region levels.
She is a member of the Three Crosses Chapter at White
Sands Missile Range, NM.

Rachel Combs, Nominations
I have been a life member of FEW since 1982 and a member
of the Garden City Chapter that meets on Fort Gordon,
GA. I am now retired from my federal career with Department
of Defense, US Army.
Over my career I was a Secretary, taught Satellite Communications
to Army, Navy, and Air Force students, and retired from
a position as a video specialist facilitating the activities
of a large auditorium. I am now a licensed realtor for
Georgia and South Carolina with Prudential Beazley Real
Estate. My goal as Nominations officer is to recruit qualified
candidates for national offices and to assist regions
and chapters with their recruitment of candidates to hold
office.

Patricia M. Wolfe, President,
Federally Employed Women, 2002-2006
Patricia (Pat) is a Level III Certified Contracting Officer
with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington,
DC where she is currently assigned as the acquisition
workforce manager for the procurement fellows and contract
specialists GS-13 and below. She served as FEW’s
National President from 2002 to 2006 and is currently
serving as President of FEW’s Foundation for Education
and Training. She is a lifetime member of FEW and has
served in many chapter, regional, and national positions
to include Chairperson of the 1995 National Training Program,
Pacific Northwest Regional Manager, and Rainier Chapter
President. Pat received FEW’s Barbara Boardman Tennant
Award for outstanding service to FEW in 1996 and again
in 2006. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration from City University, Bellevue, Washington.

Ellen McKenzie, Awards
Ellen McKenzie has 29 years federal service and is a Lifetime
Member of FEW. She’s held various offices at the
chapter, region, and national level. Ellen is the co-recipient
of FEW’s 2002 National President’s Award.
Ellen has a Master’s Degree from the University
of Oklahoma and holds a Professional in Human Resources
(PHR) certification. Currently, Ellen works as a Management
and Program Analyst for the Federal Aviation Administration
in Oklahoma City.

Karin Biega, Bylaws &
Resolutions
Karin Biega retired from NASA at the Kennedy Space Center
in May 2003 following a nearly 32-year career that began
with her enlistment in the U.S. Navy and ended as a GS-13,
Management Analyst in KSC's public affairs directorate.
Karin is a lifetime member of Federally Employed Women,
joining the Space Coast Chapter in 1983. She has served
in most all positions at the Chapter level, several positions
with the Southeast Region including Regional Manager,
and has served on the National Board in several positions
and is currently the Bylaws and Resolutions Chair. Karin
continues to be very active at all levels of FEW.

Carolyn Malone, Communications
Committee
Carolyn has been retired for 2 years. Before retiring,
she was employed by the U. S. Coast Guard as a Bridge
Management Specialist for the 9th CG District, Cleveland,
Ohio. For many years, Carolyn has been a member of FEW,
holding chapter, regional offices and has been on many
national committees. For the past 2 years she has served
as the Communication Chair and has been a member of the
NTP Team for the last 3 years.

Elizabeth (Liz) Perry, Contracts
Management
Liz is a Senior Counsel (Team Leader) with the Defense
Supply Center Philadelphia where she provides legal advice
to the subsistence (food) supply chain relative to contracts
that support the armed forces. She received her J.D. from
Howard University School of Law. Liz is a lifetime member
of FEW. She has served in various positions at the national,
regional and chapter levels including National Awards
Chair, Mid-Atlantic Region Bylaws Chair, Mid-Atlantic
Region Awards Chair, Philadelphia Chapter President; and
Philadelphia Chapter Vice-President.

Angelica Armenta, Co-Contracts
Management
Angelica is a Contract Specialist out of Brooks City-Base,
TX working with the 77th Aeronautical Systems Group. She
is new to FEW and is excited to be part of such a great
organization. Angelica holds an undergraduate degree from
New Mexico State University and will soon complete her
Master’s program at the University of Texas at San
Antonio.

Suzi Inman, NTP 2007 Chair
Suzi is currently a Program Analyst for Naval Surface
Warfare Center, Crane, IN where she has worked for almost
17 years. Suzi is a lifetime member and has been very
been very active in FEW at all levels. Suzi has held offices
such as Chapter President, Vice President, Region Treasurer,
Region Manager, National Credential Chair, National Nominating
Chair and is currently the National Training Program Chair
2007. Suzi received the Barbara Boardman Tennant Award
in 1998 and the National Scholarship Award in 1999.

Patt Franc, Publications
& Policy Review Committee
Patt is a Management and Program Analyst with the US Department
of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration-Information
Technology Center. She has 27 years of government service,
and has experience in programs ranging from the FWP, Human
and Labor Relations, Employee Development, Project Management
and IT Training. Patt is a certified Project Management
Professional and was recently selected to participate
in DOL’s Management Development Program. Patt joined
FEW in 1984 and is a lifetime member of the Denver Federal
Center Chapter in Lakewood, Colorado. She has served in
several elected and appointed levels at the Chapter, Regional
and National level. Patt was the recipient of the Secretary
of Labor’s Exceptional Volunteer Service Award and
was FEW’s Barbara Boardman Tennant award winner
in 2005.

Georgia Thomas, Scholarship
Georgia is currently a FEW National Board Member serving
in the capacity of Scholarship Chair. She began her affiliation
with FEW in 1991 by becoming a member of the Greater Houston
Chapter 50 in the Southwest Region. Georgia is a Lifetime
Member of FEW and has served as President, Vice-President
and Treasurer of the Chapter.
Professionally, Georgia is a Stakeholder Liaison with
Southwest Stakeholder Liaison Field Operations (SBSE)
in Houston, TX. She began her career with the Internal
Revenue Service in 1979 as a Taxpayer Service Representative.
Some of her other positions include, Revenue Officer and
Revenue Officer Manager in the Collection Division.
Georgia has a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing.
She is the mother of three children..

Wanda Killingsworth,
Future Leaders, Chair
Wanda is a Management and Program Analyst with the Department
of Treasury - Internal Revenue Service at the New Carrollton
Federal Building in Lanham, Maryland. Wanda has been very
active in FEW for several years, holding Chapter, Regional
and National offices and is a lifetime. She has served
for the past two years as National Scholarship Chair and
is currently serving as Special Assistant for Future Leaders.
Wanda holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Systems
Management and a Master of Science in Computer Science
both from the University of Maryland and she is currently
working on her second Master’s Degree from George
Washington University in Project Management.

Tammie Kierstead, Federal
Women’s Program Manager
Tammie Kierstead is currently the EEO Assistant and Special
Emphasis Program Coordinator at the VA Medical Center
in Oklahoma City. Tammie is also the federal Women’s
Program Co-Manager for the facility as well. Tammie landed
her first government position at the VA in 1998 as a Phlebotomist
in Pathology and Laboratory Service. She started out as
a GS-4 and within one year she accepted a Program Assistant
position as a GS-5 in the Director’s Office. In
2004 the opportunity to become the EEO Assistant/Special
Emphasis Program Coordinator GS-6 target 7 came available
and she has been there ever since and still within the
Director’s Office at the VA Medical Center.
Federally Employed Women: Tammie became a member of FEW
in 2004 and currently serves as the Legislative Chair
for the Greater Oklahoma City Chapter and the SW Region
Ways and Means Chair.

Freda W. Kurtz, Federal Retirement
Thrift Investment Board
Freda W. Kurtz is retired from the Air Force Systems Command
at Andrews Air Force Base as a Supervisory Operations
Research Analyst. She claims to have had a science fiction
career. Among other accomplishments, she supervised the
development of the cost estimates for the first manned
flight to the moon, and was the only woman on the contractor
evaluation team. She holds a Master’s degree and
has had additional professional military classes. She
taught classes after working hours and at noon to help
women obtain college credit through Sinclair Community
College to help advance their careers. She is the FEW
representative on the Thrift Savings Advisory Council
of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board. She
was National President of FEW from 1986-1988.

Derry McCurdy, People with
Disabilities, Chair
Derry McCurdy began her civilian personnel career as an
Equal Employment Specialist and Special Emphasis Programs
Manager at Wright Patterson AFB in 2001. In this capacity,
she manages the People with Disabilities Program (PDP)
and Federal Women’s Program (FWP).
Under her direction, the FWP won second place for best
project in 2005 and first place in 2006 for its “Total
Woman Expo” initiative. Likewise, the PDP received
the Ohio Governor’s Council on People with Disabilities
Best Practices Award in 2006.
Ms. McCurdy currently belongs to various organizations
including the American Business Women’s Association,
Federally Employed Women and the Miani Valley Human Resources
Association.
In addition to Ms. McCurdy’s professional career,
she manages a craft business, is the proud mother of a
son and three wonderful grandchildren. Ms. McCurdy bases
her blessed career on the anonymous philosophical quote.

Audrey Phillips, Retirees,
Chair
After 28 years of federal employment I retired in 2000
as a computer specialist GS12. My federal employment began
as a travel voucher examiner GS 3 and progressed thru
upward mobility to computer specialist. All of my federal
service was with the Department of Agriculture/Office
of the Chief Financial Officer – National Finance
Center in New Orleans, LA.
I am a charter member of Greater New Orleans Chapter,
which formed in 1974. I resided from FEW in 1984 and rejoined
in 1986. I have held every office locally but Secretary
and regionally held the office of Nominations Chair and
I have serviced in other regional appointments. On the
national level I was elected as Nominations Chair and
presently serve as Special Assistant for Retiree.

Lisa Sullivan, FEW Webmaster
& IT Chair
Lisa is a graphic and web designer located in the heartland
of the nation, Indiana. This is her first time working
with the Executive Board but she has been the webmaster
for the Hoosier Hills chapter for the past 4 years. Having
graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Lisa has
been a graphic designer since 1984 and a web designer
since 1996. Lisa is very involved with the audio-visual
ministry at her church and also operates her own handcrafted
jewelry business. She feels honored to have the opportunity
to work along side the outstanding people in the FEW organization.

Beatrice Squires, National
Board Parliamentarian
With more than 33 years with the Social Security Administration,
most of which were with the Office of Hearings and Appeals,
Beatrice retired in 2004. She has an extensive background
in social security matters, from drafting regulations
to serving as the agency’s first ombudsman, and
received acknowledgement for her work on many occasions.
She is a life member of FEW, and has held many offices
at the local level and that of national parliamentarian.
Among the organizations in which she is active are Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority, International Training in Communication,
and Toastmasters International, with first place honors
at the highest levels in speaking and writing, and the
National Association of Parliamentarians. She holds a
Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Bertha J. Page, Credentials
Chair
Bertha J. Page is a native Washingtonian and grew up
on Capitol Hill in the north east area. She has been employed
with the federal government for 22 years. I am a project
manager for printing operations in the digital services
department. She is the current President of the DIA Washington
DC Chapter and has been a member of FEW for three years.
Bertha recently became a lifetime member in 2007. This
opportunity will give her an overview of the FEW organization;
network with other board members; become knowledgeable
about the duties of credentials and give her a chance
to put her mark on this position.

Joan Chopp , News &
View Editor & Mid-Continent Regional Manager
Joan is currently serving as National News & Views
Editor and Mid-Continent Regional Manager. She has been
very active in FEW, since joining in 1999 and has held
many chapter offices, including Chapter President, and
has also served as Regional Secretary. For the past 3
years Joan has served on the NTP Planning Committee coordinating
the Agency Forums. Joan recently retired from working
for USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service for the
last 34 years.

Jeanette Miller,
NTP 2008 Co-Chair
Jeanette is the Audit Liaison Program Manager for the
Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She served
as FEW’s National President from 1998 to 2000, and
is currently Vice President of the FEW Foundation for
Education and Training. She has also held various FEW
national vice president positions since 1986 in activities
focused on training, compliance, policy and long range
planning. She is also active in her home chapter in Oak
Ridge and has held all chapter officer positions. Jeanette
is a lifetime member of FEW and has represented the Southeast
Region in various leadership positions. Jeanette received
FEW's Barbara Boardman Tennant Award in 1986 for outstanding
service to FEW, and has represented FEW on the National
Coalition for Equity in Public Service (NCEPS), and chaired
the NCEPS 2005 Diversity Conference in Washington, DC.
Jeanette was a participant in the OPM Women’s Executive
Leadership Program, and attended the University of Tennessee
and Roane State College, majoring in accounting.

Tonjua
Toon,
Finance Chair
Tonjua is the Business Operations Manager for the Small Arms Weapon Systems
Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Indiana. For the past
21 years, she has worked with finance and contracts supporting the Ordnance
Engineering Department at Crane. Tonjua has been very active in FEW since
joining 10 years ago and is now a lifetime member. She has served the Hoosier
Hills Chapter as President, Vice-President, Finance Chair, and Nominating
Chair and has also held office as the Great Lakes Region Secretary. Tonjua
received an Associate Degree in Business from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College
in Indiana through the Women's External Degree (WED) program in 2006 and
participated in the PMC Program at NSWC and received a Certificate in Public
Management from Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis in 2005.
She is very active in her community participating in school events. She's
a member of the Antioch Christian Church, Bloomfield High School Alumni
Association and Booster Club, and the Scotland Historical Society. Tonjua
lives in Scotland, Indiana with her husband Allen and their two children
Jessica and Alex.

AT2 (AW) Krystal Smith
AT2 (AW) Krystal Smith is a native of Titusville, FL. She enlisted
in the Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician in September
of 2003 at the age of 18. After completion of Basic training, she
reported to NATTC Pensacola, Fl. In July 2004, she transferred
to Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Jacksonville, FL, to
the Communication/Navigation work center. After spending a year
in the Communication/Navigation work center, she deployed with
VP-45 to Misawa, Japan from May 2005 to December 2005. While on
deployment, Smith completed her Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist
requirements and was “pinned” EAWS qualified. In June
of 2007 she was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer. Krystal
then took her next role as the Public Affairs liaison in October
of 2007, where she currently maintains communications between the
FRCSE military and civilian employees.
Krystal has been affiliated with Federally Employed Women since
December 2006. She is currently serving as the President for the
Greater Jacksonville Chapter. She is a full time college student
currently attending the University of North Florida in pursuit
of a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She is majoring in public
relations with a minor in education.
