Federally Employed Women Celebrated its 40th Anniversary Federally Employed Women's (FEW) leaders and members joined together on Thursday, July 17, 2008, for a history-making event as FEW celebrated its 40th Anniversary. FEW was initially established to serve as an advocate for improving the quality of life for women in federal service by influencing congressional and administration actions; and since that time, FEW has expanded and improved its mission by providing opportunities for professional growth through leadership development, education, mentoring, building relationships, and networking. FEW continued "Moving On and Moving Up" with a gala event that took place during the National Training Program celebrating 40 years of accomplishments. The day's events included the Past Presidents Hall of Fame. The evening celebration culminated with featured keynote speaker, Vernice Armour, followed by an elegant gala of music and dinner. FEW's founding National President, Allie Latimer, and FEW’s 20 th National President, Rhonda Trent, addressed FEW attendees and their guests, closing out the celebration in style. Thank you for celebrating with us in recognizing and reflecting on the accomplishments of our organization that has been at the forefront of advancing women in the federal workplace since 1968.
